CLIMB TO THE HIGHEST PEAK OF ANDES
All our groups will be accompanied by one of our certified mountain guide
From 1st to 21st of February 2020
Polish Glacier side – Crossing on the normal route
Mt Aconcagua, the highest peak of the Americas, is located in Argentina province of Mendoza, in the west part of the country at the latitude of Santiago de Chile.
The climb through the Polish route on the northern side is not particularly difficult but is not to be underestimated because of the altitude and atmospheric conditions. The length and the altitude require excellent physical shape, a good acclimatization and good endurance, as well as practice in the use of ice axe and crampons. The area is a meeting point of drafts with different origin that create sudden and violent wind storms, bringing down the temperature to the lowest values even in the hottest seasons.
Equipment and food will be carried by mules to base camp in Plaza Argentina, from there the ascent will continue independently. Climbers will move several times between the base camp and the higher camps to achieve a good acclimatization and to set up the high camps.
The program is subject to some variation due to higher forces
