Mount Damavand is a potentially active volcano and the highest peak in Iran (5671m). It has a special place in Persian mythology. From the top you can have a spectacular view all around.
We’ll start with an acclimatization period climbing three peaks over 4000 meters in the heart of Doberar Ridge. After climbing the Iranian roof, we’ll come back to Theran just in time for a visit to the city and its fantastic historical sites.
Organized groups can choose different dates depending on their needs
CLIMATE AND SNOW CONDITIONS: The climatic conditions of the country are quite similar throughout the area, with very hot summers and potentially harsh winters with low humidity. Normally important anticyclones are established, and it is therefore rare that persistent low pressure conditions persist. In April, it is still possible to find cold and powder snow on the north-northeast sides. On all other sides the snow become firn very quickly.
