Flight Milano – Lourdes – Refuge du Clot

Flight from Milan to Lourdes. Bus transfer to Pont d’Espagne (1460m) and short walk (20min) to the Refuge du Clot (1522m).

Refuge du Clot – Refuge Baysallance

We’ll walk through the valley of Gaube and, in 2h and a half, we’ll get the refuge Oulettes de Gaube (2151m). After a short brake we’ll hike up Hourettes d’Ossoue pass and continue to the refuge of Bayssallance (2651m).

Ascent of Mount Vignemale – Refuge Baysallance

We’ll wake up pretty early, in order to climb Mount Vignemale, one of the highest peak of Pyrenees. We’ll spend the night at refuge Baysallance.

Refuge Baysallance – Refuge Bujaruelo

We’ll walk down Ossoue valley to the Barrage d’Ossoue (1839m), where we’ll start climbing up in order to get Cabane du Lordes first (1936m) and, later, col de la Bernatoide (2338m). From here we start the long descent which will lead us to the refuge Bujaruelo (1340m).

Refuge Bujaruelo – Refuge Goriz

A short transfer of 10 km by car will take us at the bottom of Ordesa Valley, where we’ll begin the walking to refuge Goriz (2200m). This path is really spectacular: the traverse on the Faje de Pelay, the famous Circo de Soaso and the beautiful waterfall “Cola de Caballo”.

Monte Perdido

From refuge Goriz we’ll climb Monte Perdido (3355m) passing by Lago Helado. We’ll come back to refuge Goriz, where we’ll spend the night.

Refuge Goriz - Gavernie

We’ll hike from the refuge toward the Breche de Rolland (2807m) and, across this huge breach in the ridge that divide Spain and France, we’ll walk down a small glacier, pass by the refuge de la Breche (closed) and finally get Gavernie (1380m).

Elevation gain 800m/loss 1550m, 6-7h

Lourdes – flight back to Italy

Bus transfer to Lourdes and flight back to Italy.
