Mount Kilimanjaro ( Kibo for local people) , the highest peak of the black continent, dominates from its 5895 meters forests and deserts of Tanzania and Kenya.
The climb allows a varied and impressive changes in environmental conditions. First we’ll cross the rainforest to reach the large volcanic plateau of Shira, then we’ll go on through alpine scenery untill the snowy summit crater. In few areas of the world there is such a large concentration of different climatic and environmental conditions.
The "Machame Route" is one of the most beautiful routes of the great mountain. There are no huts, so overnight stays are provided in 2 places tents igloo.

Milan - Arusha
International flight and transfer to the hotel
Arusha - Machame Gate m1800 - Machame Camp m 3000
Transfer to Machame Gate 1800 m, at the base of Kilimanjaro (south side), meeting with porters staff and registration to the park direction, materials and supplies check. We’ll start out on a easy path through the dense vegetation of the rainforest.
Ascent m 1200 - 5/6 hours
Machame Camp m 3000 - Shira Camp m 3800
Leaving the rainforest we’ll go on through a giant heather forest. Going up the vegetation will come lower and close to Shira Camp will disappear almost completely.
Ascent - 860 m - 4/5 hours
Shira Camp m 3800 - Lawa Tower m 4630 - Barranco Camp m 3950
From Shira Camp, through a semi-desert landscape we will reach the Lawa Tower m 4630. From here, drop down on the other side, we will arrive at Baranco camp 3950 m.
Ascent 800 m - Down 680 m - 5/6 hours
Barranco Camp m 3950 - Karanga Camp m 4000
With a spectacular crossing between giant seneci plants and volcanic rocks from Baranco camp we’ll reach Karanga camp 4000 m.
Ascent 400 m - Down 250 m - 4/5 hours
Karanga Camp m 4000 - Barafù Hut m 4600
The path from here takes to get on Mweka route and through a lunar landscape, devoid of vegetation among rocks and volcanic lava we’ll reach Barafu Camp 4600 m.
Ascent 600 m - 4 hours
Barafu Hutte m 4600 - Vetta m 5895 - Mweka Camp m 3100
Wake up at night and starting around 1 a.m. to reach Stella Point on the crater rim, just in time to watch the sunrise. From there we’ll go on through an easy ridge to reach our dream: Uhuru Peak 5895 m, the highest peak of the black continent.. In three hours descent to Barafu camp for a snack and a little rest. In the first afternoon we’ll continue the descent untill Mweka campsite m 3100 surrounded by rainforest.
Ascent m 1300 - Down m 2895 - 10/12 hours total
Mweka Camp m 3100 - Mweka Gate m 1800 - Arusha
4 hours walking in a rainforest to reach Mweka gate. Distribution of tips to the porters and transfer to Moshi, lunch and delivery of the summit certifications. Transfer at the hotel.
Visit to Arusha National Park
Full day visit in the Arusha National Park (photo safari). Will be easy to see giraffes, monkeys, flamingos, buffaloes etc. In the evening transfer to international airport.
flight Kilimanjaro Airport - Milan
International flight and come back home.

Safari to Lake Manyara National Park
Early in the morning departure by jeep from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Safari to Ngoro-Ngoro National Park
Today living to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. In 14 Km square you can admire all the animals species living in Africa. Descent into the crater and game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Safari to Tarangire National Park
Transfer to Tarangire National Park, the last game drive. Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport and departure.
International flight
International flight and come back home.

THE PRICE INCLUDES: Support and assistance of a Mountain Guide UIAGM certified, logistics and services provided by local agency: porters for the transport of food and materials and theirs salary, entrance fees in the parks and permits for climbing, half board in Arusha or Moshi ( hotel in double rooms) , full board for the remaining period with overnight stays in tents during the trek; all camp equipment: tents for two people with mattress and kitchen tent, mess tent, table, chairs, lamps, dishware, toilet tent. Transfer to and from the airport and domestic travel by jeep or private mini bus. Travel insurance (medical, hospitalization and repatriation) provided by Innovation Travel Agency. During the safari in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Manyara: accommodation in lodges (shared rooms) full board, all the transfert by jeep, driver.
