SESIA VALLEY - OSSOLA VALLEY
Season 2023 - 4/5 and 18/19 of November
The aim of the course is teach you the skills that you need to head on to sport multi-pitch routes (bolted routes), on high rock walls, safely and efficiently.
This 2 days stage focus on building belays, using efficiently your gears, belaying safely your partner, abseils and retreats. You’ll be trained in your technique and gain the skills you need to lead confidently a multi-pitch route.
Private groups (min/max 2 persons) can choose different dates depending on their needs.
Meeting with your Mountain Guide around 8 in the morning. After a short briefing your gears will be checked and you’ll receive all the equipment you’ll need during the two days. Short transfer to the crag. Topics developed during the first day: technical informations about the equipment, essential knots, how to belay your partner, how to build a belay station, abseiling and retreats. Climbing of a short multi-pitch route, in order to apply all the techniques explained. Climbing session ends around 17.30
Meeting with your Mountain Guide around 8 in the morning and transfer to the crag. After a review of what was covered on the first day, the training will focus on basic self rescue skills. Climbing of a multi-pitch route and abseil. Ends of the session around 17.30
DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND REQUIRED SKILLS: the stage is for climbers who have experience in outdoor lead climbing. Depending on the abilities of the climbers it will be possible to train on different levels, between 4 and 6a (French grades).

WHAT’S INCLUEDED: Support and assistance of an Italian certified UIAGM Mountain Guide (English speaking), logistic organization, all technical equipment including harness, helmet and rock shoes, ropes, quickdraws, carabiners, belay devices.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUEDED: Transfers, costs of board and login. Mountain guide expenses will be shared by the participants. Personal injury insurance.
