Norway, land of sea and mountains. Ski mountaineering journey to discover the mountains of the North, over the Arctic Circle.
From our apartement on the sea we will move by car along the fjords to reach the starting point of the most beautiful tours and by skis climb up the most interesting peaks.
Private groups (min 6 persons) can choose different dates depending on their needs.
Travel Program
International flight Milan-Oslo-Tromso
Leaving from Milano Malpensa, arrival in Tromso, transfer to our apartment. Dinner and overnight. -/-/D
6 days of ski mountaineering in the Lyngenfjord and Ullsfjord
We’ ll move with our van through the fjords: Ullsfiord , Lyngenfjord, Balsfjord the most mountainous part of the area: “Lyngen Alps”, choosing day by day a different itinerary. Six days dedicated to the research of the most beautiful ski touring itineraries. Every day a new excursion and an amazing descent. The lenght ofthe itinerary is between 900 and 1500 m depending on the spot. The choose will be made paying special attention to safety conditions. B/L/D

CLIMATE: Temperatures are generally not very cold. The apartment is equipped with electric heating. At sea level in the morning and evening the temperature is placed around zero degrees; over 1000 m in case of bad weather it’s possible to have low temperatures (like the Alps in the winter months).
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND SNOWPACK: Usually in the spring in these latitudes do not occur particular persistent snowfalls. You can have periodic snow or unsettled weather with poor visibility that still does not prevent to practice ski mountaineering. The snowpack is quite stable almost everywhere and in case of small snowfalls covered with a powder layer. Normally the snow line start up to a few meters from the sea.
SKI TOURING EXCURSIONS: After more than 20 years of activity in these mountains we can suggest about a hundred routes; Here you can find some of the most beautiful trips: Nordfiellet (1000 m) - Lavangtinden (1278 m) - Tverrfiellet (1394 m) - Senneddafjellet (1395 m) - Jiehkkevarri (1834 m) - Balgesvarri (1279) - Storgalten (1219 m) - Stetinden (918 m) - Kjelvagtinden (1064m) - Kavringtinden (1289 m) - Rornestinden (1041 m) - Kjostindane (1250 m) - Kiostinden (1488 m) - Gillavarri (1163 m) - Daltinden (1535 m) - Imagaisi (1505 m) - Tefeltinden (1395 m) - Normannviktin (1355 m) - Khagtinden (1250 m). Thanks to the potential of the area will have the possibility to explore new routes.

THE PRICE INCLUDES: Full supportpport of a certified UIAGM Mountain Guide, transfers by 8 places van for all the period, fuel, tickets for the ferry boat, full board for all the period with apartment accommodation in the heart of Lyngen Alps (shared rooms) and the missing technical equipment if you need.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: International flight Milan - Tromso A/R, air mail of skis ( Eu 50,00), meals in Tromso, injury/cancellation insurance, alcoholic beverages and extra.
