The elegant north side of Weissmiess offers an easy and rewarding climbing experience in a spectacular glacial environment.
A great classic itinerary in the area around Saas-Fee. From the summit you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mischabel and Andolla mountain range. One of the best approach to the high mountain environment.
Travel Program
Transfer to Saas Grund and clib to the Summit
From the village of Saas Grund we’ ll take the cable car until Hohsaas station (3098m). From there we’ ll descend briefly on the Triftgletscher at the foot of the impressive North-West wall of Weissmiess. Now we’ ll climb up the glacier, sometimes crossing big crevasses until 3800m and then through the north ridge up to the summit 4023m. The descent will follow the same way.

CLIMBING INFO: The climb hasn’t particular technical difficulties. The itinerary goes entirely on glaciers, sometimes with large crevasses. The key point of the climb is a short crossing of a big seracs. Depending on the season, sometimes is equipped with stairs and fixed ropes.

THE PRICE INCLUDES: Support and assistance of a U.I.A.G.M. Mountain Guide, technical equipment in common use, rental of technical equipment if needed (harness, crampons, ice axe, helmet), logistics.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Transfer to Saas Grund, round trip by cable car. Guide’s cable car ticket will be shared by participants, injury insurance.
