Mont Blanc is the highest peak of the bigger mountain range of the Alps. It is located in the north-west side of Italy between the Aosta Valley and the High French Savoy. With the altitude of 4808.73 mt (last official measurement) it is the highest peak in Europe. Mainly composed by granite, the massif is also famous for all the amazing rock spiers scattered everywhere at the foot of the main peaks, which seem to arise directly from permafrost.
