The climb to the summit of Punta Nordend is one of the most rewarding tour that you can choose throughout the whole Alps. Second summit of Mount Rosa dominates the east wall from its 4611 meters of altitude.

The length of climb will be fully repaid by an amazing view and by an unforgettable descent.

Travel Program


Transfer to Zermatt - Uphill to Monterosahutte m 2890

Transfer to Zermatt in the morning, equipment check and then up with Gornegrat train up to Rotenboden (m 2805). Short descent on the south to Gornergletscher ( around 2550 m). From there, climb up to Monterosahutte (m 2890). Diner and overnight.
Descent 250 m, Ascent 450m - 3 hours


Climb Punta Nordend m 4611

Leaving very early from the hut (around 4.30 a.m.) climbing up through huge glaciers until Silbersattel (4515 m.). From there, crampons on for the last 100 m on a snowy ridge, we reach the top. Amazing descent on the same way and come back to Zermatt from Rotenboden .
Ascent 1720 m + 250m, Descent 1950 m - 9/10 hours

Rate details

THE PRICE INCLUDES : Support and assistance of a U.I.A.G.M. certified Mountain Guide, all the technical equipment in common use, reservation to the hut and logistics, rental of technical equipment if you need (harness, crampons, ice axe, snow beep).

THE PRICE DOESN’T INCLUDE: Transfert costs, train ticket, half board in the hut. Guide’s half board and train tickets will be shared by participants. Injury insurance.
