Norway, land of sea and mountains. To live the dual essence of this country we propose to discover the mountains of the north, beyond the Arctic Circle, reaching them from the sea, wandering from fjord to fjord on a sailing boat, to conquer every day a different mountain with skis.
The most fascinating season of the year. Our week will pass very quickly, skiing, fishing cods and living in a beautiful sailing boat.. A unique experience where the mountains plunge into the sea.
Private groups ( min 6 persons ) can choose different dates depending on their needs ( from beginning of March to the end of April )
Travel Program
Internation flight Milan-Oslo-Tromso
Leaving from Milano, arrival in Tromso and transfer to the pier. Boarding on our confortable sailing boat (15,50 m). Visit to the city where we buy the food for the first days. -/-/D
Sailing and ski mountaineering in the fjords
From Tromso we’ll sail to Ullsfiord and Lyngenfjord, the most mountainous part of the area called “Lyngen Alps”, the adventure begins ! We’ll start with a quite short excursion to warm up then we’ ll sail to more challenging itineraries. Every day a different itinerary and an amazing descent! Fishing and sailing will complete the program. You will spent 8 intense days in the company of our skipper on a boat equipped with all comforts and sophisticated navigation and safety equipment. All the participants should work together to prepare meals. B/L/D

After the last trip in late afternoon, come back to Tromso. B/L/D

CLIMATE: Temperatures are generally not very cold. The apartment is equipped with electric heating. At sea level in the morning and evening the temperature is placed around zero degrees; over 1000 m it’s possible to have low temperatures (like the Alps in the winter months).
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND SNOWPACK: Usually in the spring in these latitudes do not occur particular persistent snowfalls. You can however have periodic snow or unsettled weather with poor visibility that still does not prevent to practice ski mountaineering. The snowpack stable almost everywhere and in case of small snowfalls covered with a powdery layer. Normally the snow line reaches lower altitudes up to few meters from the sea.
LIVING IN A SAILING BOAT: In addition to browsing activities sailing and fishing which are optional, is required the cooperation of everyone for meals preparation and related reorganization of the boat.

Thanks to the potential of the area we’ll have the possibility to explore new routes

THE PRICE INCLUDES: Support and assistance of a Mountain Guide UIAGM certified, , sailing boat Bavaria 8 places with the assistance of a skipper, full board for the entire period (except meals in Tromso) with accommodation on the boat (shared berths with hot shower) and the missing technical equipment if you need.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: International flight Milano – Tromso A/R, meals in Tromso, injury/cancellation insurance, alcoholic beverages and extras.
