Taste free-climbing the way it raised, feel the sensation of freedom and adventure that allowed this sport to spread all over the world.

The stage focus on teach you how to place protections and build safe anchors, using cams, wires and pegs. We’ll show you the basic jam technique to climb on cracks. The aim of the course is to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to climb trad or partially bolted routes safely and confidently.

Private groups can choose different dates, according to their needs.

1stDay

Basics and Trad Climbing

Meeting with your Mountain Guide around 8 in the morning. After a short briefing your gears will be checked and you’ll receive all the equipment you’ll need during the two days. Short transfer to the crag. Topics developed during the first day: review of the essential knots and belay technique; technical informations about all the gears; how to place cams and wires. Climbing on trad single pitches. End of the session around 17.30.


2ndDay

Technical knowledge and trad climbing

Meeting with your Mountain Guide around 8 in the morning and transfer to the crag. The training today focus on how to build a belay station using cams, wires and pegs. Practice exercise of jam climbing technique. Climbing of a trad multi-pitch route. Ends of the session around 17.30

DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND REQUIRED SKILLS: the stage is for climbers who have experience in outdoor lead climbing, on single and multi-pitch sport routes.Depending on the abilities of the climbers it will be possible to train on different levels, between 4 and 6a (French grades).

Rate details

WHAT’S INCLUEDED: Support and assistance of an Italian certified UIAGM Mountain Guide (English speaking), logistic organization, all technical equipment including cams, wires, hammer, pegs, harness, helmet and rock shoes, ropes, quickdraws, carabiners, belay devices.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUEDED: Transfers, costs of board and login. Mountain guide expenses will be shared by the participants. Personal injury insurance.
